However, much of this seemed like little more than a marketing gimmick—less about genuine action and more about appearances. Ironically, even the solutions to unsustainable growth often appeared unsustainable.

As we pondered this paradox, we realised something fundamental: sustainability is not merely an economic or technological issue; it is deeply rooted in human nature. With the rise in prosperity, people began taking many things for granted—most importantly, their own abilities. Self-reliance faded, leaving us vulnerable to a system that promised growth but eroded resilience.

This insight—that self-reliance is the cornerstone of true sustainability—became the seed from which Dot Praana was born. We set out to address the heart of the sustainability challenge, understanding that deeply rooted problems demand equally profound solutions. These solutions must not only provide the necessary convenience and economic viability but, more importantly, inspire individuals to embrace a more sustainable way of living. It is this inspiration—a connection to the heart and spirit—that has been most overlooked, and it forms the very core of our focus at Dot Praana.
